A great evening!
During Brain Cancer Awareness/Action Month, a very successful and informative event was enjoyed by all in attendance, on Tuesday evening at our 4th Awareness Raising Event at NSW Parliament House.
Kindly hosted by Ms Sophie Cotsis MP and focussing on “Survivorship”, we were honoured to provide an event launch of the newly released Survivorship Diary by TBCG patient and author, Cassandra Bennett.
Also sharing their story, “consumers” of the diary, Sigrid and her very entertaining husband, TBCG patient, Paul Hawker.
Associate Professor Michael Back updated us on progress of the Australasia-first, TBCG Imaging Laboratory as part of our new Databank.
Our doctors, researchers and team mingled over refreshments with patients, carers, TBCG donors and ambassadors, members of Cassandra’s voluntary Survivorship Diary team, graphic artist Ana-Clara Toth of ACT creative and representing the distributor of the Diary, Peace of Mind Foundation founder Bec Piccone.
