The Brain Cancer Group

Ways to help

Giving a monthly gift to The Brain Cancer Group can make a real difference to the future of brain cancer research, education and support.

Why is regular giving so valuable?

Our regular monthly donors give TBCG a reliable and sustainable stream of donations which helps us plan well into the future. We are committed to keeping our regular donors updated on our work, and how the funds you’re donating are helping us increase life expectancy and support for the patient/family.

Can I make changes or cancel my donations?

Should your financial circumstances change you can adjust your monthly gift amount or place your donations on hold by calling 02 8425 3369 or mailing your request to TBCG, Ground Floor, North Shore Private Hospital, Westbourne Street, St Leonards, NSW 2065.

When will donations be deducted from my card?

Donations are debited from your nominated credit card, or deducted from your bank account, on the 15th or 25th of each month, or nearest business day.

What percentage of my donations is invested into brain cancer research, education and support?

100% of money raised is used for research, education and support. All our administrative costs are generously financed by NSPH.

Leaving a bequest is a lovely way to give something back and assist with brain cancer research and support for future generations.

How to leave a gift in your Will

Having a valid Will is the only way to be sure that your wishes will be met. When creating your Will, firstly provide for family and friends, and then consider whether you can also include a gift to The Brain Cancer Group.

Your gift can take a variety of forms:

Residuary – the remainder of an estate after specific gifts have been disbursed
Percentage – a percentage of either the residue or the entire estate
Pecuniary – a specific gift of cash
A specific asset – real estate, shares, bonds or other particular items of value
Residuary and Percentage are the most beneficial forms of bequest as they hold their value over time.

Simply give the following wording to your Solicitor to include in your Will or as a Codicil to your Will once you have decided what kind of gift you would like to include:

I bequeath to The Brain Cancer Group, ABN39 094 873 211, to promote and support brain cancer research, (the residue of my estate) or the sum of (a specified sum), or my (specified items), free of all duties and taxes including, if any CGT, and the receipt of the Secretary or other authorised officer for the time being shall be a complete and sufficient discharge for the executor(s).

We understand that making a Will is a very personal decision, however if you are considering or have already remembered the The Brain Cancer Group in your Will, we would welcome the opportunity of thanking you personally. It also enables us to keep you up to date with our research and send you invitations to special The Brain Cancer Group events.

Giving a monthly gift to The Brain Cancer Group can make a real difference to the future of brain cancer research, education and support.
