The human brain has fascinated researchers and doctors for centuries, and a north shore group is doing its best to unlock some of its secrets.
The Brain Cancer Group (TBCG) is striving to improve the management of brain cancer and non-malignant tumours through research, ongoing support and education for patients.
One of those leading the charge is Associate Professor Michael Back, who specialises in the treatment of brain cancer as a radiation oncologist.
“By concentrating on one form of cancer I can co-ordinate and offer care pathways which are streamlined, highly sophisticated and able to have measurable outcomes,” he said.
