A special evening!
A lovely ending to this year for TBCG with TBCG’s induction into the University of Sydney Founder’s Circle.
“The Founders’ Circle celebrates remarkable contributions of philanthropy to the University and recognises donors and not-for-profit funding bodies, like The Brain Cancer Group, who have the vision to make a difference through substantial giving and its unparalleled commitment to research expanding the care and outcomes for patients with brain cancer.
Neuro-surgeons Dr Raymond Cook and Dr Michael Biggs, and medical oncologist Dr Helen Wheeler, established The Brain Cancer Group because of their shared passion to increase support for patients with the condition.
Their generosity has enabled researchers at the University of Sydney’s Bill Walsh Translational Cancer Research Laboratory to tirelessly push the frontiers of brain tumour research and improve outcomes for these patients. Their life-changing gift will help to identify new drug targets and better treatments for this disease.
To The Brain Cancer Group, as represented here tonight by Dr Raymond Cook and Dr Helen Wheeler, we are forever grateful to you.
Your commitment to enable cutting-edge research has real-world outcomes in brain cancer treatment. Thank you, and welcome to the Founders’ Circle”
