We wish to thank everyone who registered and attended our annual Parliament House Awareness Raising Event.
The evening was very successful thanks to combined efforts of many.
Dr Adrian Lee opened the proceedings with a warm welcome to all in attendance, including a special thank you to NSW Minister for Industrial Relations, Work Health and Safety, The Hon. Sophie Cotsis MP, who continues to support and host the event at NSW Parliament House, since 2016.
Keynote speakers, Dr Helen Wheeler, Dr Subo Thavaneswaran and A/Prof Michael Back provided informative speeches on the topic “Innovative clinical trials seeking to individualise brain cancer therapy”.
Guest speaker Joanne Hüging moved the audience with her personal experience as a carer of a brain cancer patient, her husband, Will. Dr Adrian Lee gave the closing address, reiterating thanks to all who joined the awareness-raising event and for their support.
